Gameplay, Scoring & more
Points Rummy is a fast-paced variant of the popular Indian Rummy game, played with a standard deck of cards by 2 to 6 players.
At the beginning of every game/deal, 13 cards are dealt to each player on the virtual table.
A Pure Sequence is a group/combination of 3 or more consecutive cards of the same suit without a Joker/Trump card.
An Impure Sequence is a sequence formed with the help of a Joker.
A Set is a group of 3 or 4 cards of the same face value but different suits. A set can contain a Joker.
When a player has arranged all the cards in proper sequences and/or sets, including one pure sequence, he/she must declare the game by discarding the last card which is not part of the set/sequence by clicking on the Declare option.
The score is calculated based on the value of the cards in players' hand and any penalties that the player may have incurred during the game. The player with the highest score at the end of the game loses.
A valid declaration in Points Rummy consists of at least 1 Pure Sequence and 1 Impure Sequence, and the remaining cards can be arranged in a Sequence and/or Set.
If a player makes an invalid declaration in Points Rummy, he/she is penalised 80 points.
2-Joker Mode in Points Rummy is a variant of the game where two Jokers are used in addition to the standard deck of cards.
A player who misses three consecutive turns gets a middle drop and is automatically dropped out of the game.
